Car seats for older children

My eldest is 8, turning 9. We are doing a rejig of who sits where in the car and ordering car seats for the ones who have went up in stages. (5 kids). My eldest is in a high backed booster and I’m wondering if a normal booster would be adequate? He is quite tall for his age so I don’t know if he needs the high backed seat anymore. What are your 8/9 year olds using?

Keep the high backed booster incarsafetycentre.co.uk/blog/post/when-does-your-child-need-a-high-back-booster

How tall is he?
In the UK, over 135cm doesn't need a seat... its 150cm on other European countries for context.
It also depends how the seats fit... if he is in the middle seat, he could get protection from the neighbouring car seats.

Legal minimum does not equal safe. High backed booster is your safest option.

Thanks everyone. I’m not sure what height he is exactly so would need to check. I’ll stick to his booster.
