Advice on Joie 360 please

I have a Joie 360 spin car but the manuals that came with it are not in English. I’ve looked online but can only find YouTube videos of different models.
I have fiddled about with the straps etc and think I have done it right but was just wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions from using it themselves.
thank you in advance

I have this seat. What is it you want to do with the straps?

Have you got all the inserts in? It looks as if the wedge is missing, this pushes their bum forward so they're not as upright. This stops the head falling forward when the baby falls asleep , they normally need all the inserts until about 1.

@Soontobe60 thank you for replying, I just wanted to make sure that they look correct, that the bottom straps are correctly placed? As the clasp doesn’t adjust only the shoulder straps if that makes sense?
a picture I see online of an older version shows the bottom straps higher up on the child

@Pinkywoo we haven’t removed anything from the seat. We have put it in the car as it came out the box.
where is the wedge placed and what does it look like please?

The extended rear facing car seat Facebook group is really good for advice if you post the picture there.

Googling the model and manual gave me this:

manuall.co.uk/joie-i-spin-360-car-seat/ which has an English translation as part of it?

If it's not the right model, you will almost certainly be able to find hat manual online too.

Sorry cross post, it's the long triangle cushion behind the bit they sit on.

@cantkeepawayforever thank you! I have printed this manual off but it doesn’t really make it clear if the straps are correctly placed.

Yes that's the one, I was trying to post a picture but the baby kicked off! The straps look ok, they're pretty easy on the 360, all you have to do is make sure they're tight enough and as close to their neck as possible.

@Pinkywoo thank you so much for responding and you’re help! I thought I must be doing it ok, as the bottom strap with the clip doesn’t move but I wanted to check. X

I have this car seat. Why for the live of God is the bottom strap with the buckle on so short?? How is it going to fit them til they're 4?? I'm guessing it appears longer once all the padding is out, but why isn't it adjustable? Or maybe it is, but I can't work out how!

If it helps I have the seat for my DS who is 4, nearly 5 and on the 91st or something percentile for his height and the straps still fit fine.

@AndSoFinally my thoughts exactly. I would have liked it to be slightly higher just so the buckle sits higher up and almost feels like the baby has more support in holding her in rather than it being all on the shoulders.

@tealandteal that is good to know. Would you say the fit looks correct in the pic?

It's a weird shaped seat and the padding doesn't help. This looks fine though. When your baby grows you'll move the head rest up and that will help with the straps. The head piece stays in until their head looks squashed around 4-6 months. The body cushion fills up space at the sides and can be removed when it's pushing their arms out awkwardly, around 9-12 months. The triangle wedge is the last piece to be removed and you should keep it in until the straps fit properly without it, the hip straps are supposed to be in a straight line or V shape. If they're like an inverted V then you've taken it out too early. Most people keep in until approx 13kg.

I wonder why your manual isn't in English? It should be unless you're abroad? Did you get two manuals each with different languages in, sometimes you get that. The one someone has linked is for the i-spin. The manual doesn't really say anything about the straps though.

The YouTube guide by a lady called rear facing Toddlers is really good though, worth watching that as she talks about this.

You can try putting the headrest up one and sitting her higher up in the seat now if you want to.
