So I’ve spent ages researching car seats recently and finally decided on the Britax Romer Dualfix 2R. Just got it in the car (Range Rover Evoque) and it’s just so bulky that no one could really sit in the front seat!
think I’ll have to return and get back to the drawing board! 😩
has anyone got any advice on similar seats that are less bulky?
a 360 seat is an important feature but most importantly is the safety rating!
(I’ve been issuing this German website to check…
www.oeamtc.at/tests/kindersitztest/kindersitztest-2020-fruhjahr/britax-roemer-dualfix-2-r-38015681 )
That’s why I went for Britax in the end as they seem to go above the usual testing. I paid £200 for the Romer Dualfix and don’t really want to pay too much more than that.
many advice would be sooooo much appreciated! Thank you 😊

The 25kg ones like Britax Max Way Plus are a bit more compact. Or for a spinning seat the Joie 360 Spin or Joie i-Spin are slightly less bulky than Britax. But you may find this in general with rear facing seats. What about putting the rear facing child seat in front with the airbag off? Max Way Plus is suitable for this, isofix seats usually not as most cars have no isofix in front.

Max Way Plus has a great safety rating as it has passed the Swedish Plus test. It has a good safety score on OAMTC but they did mark it down as being hard to fit. If you bought from a specialist though they will usually fit it for you :)

Axkid Move is a similar option that is a bit cheaper. It was tested under the old model name "Axkid Wolmax".
