Joie Transfix and Joie iTraver

Hi all,

Looking at a HBB for DS who is 5. Joie have produced a car seat in conjunction with Halfords called the Transfix, its an iSize seat with isofix. To me it looks suspiciously like the Joie iTraver just in a different colour with a different name.

Transfix is £99 whereas iTraver comes in at about £150. Has anyone come to the same conclusion or knows for definite if they are the same seat?

Thanks in advance!

I’m sure someone who knows will come along soon - but your thread was right after the Baby Names threads, in my Last Hour list, and I thought you were thinking of these as possible names. I liked Joie but wasn’t sure about either of your middle names!

Grin would have certainly been unusual choices! Unlikely to come across many others that's for sure!

Just in case anyone Googles asking the same question and comes across this, I contacted Joie customer services who confirmed the seats are identical apart from the fabrics.

I've bought the Transfix for £99 which seems like a bargain!

Hello, sorry to bring up an old thread but I have been looking at these exact car seats today (although the price has increased since 2021!)

How is the Joie Transfix (Halfords) for into the car? Can it be used without ISOFIX?

Car seats are a mine field!!

Yes you can use it without isofix. Since it's the same seat as the i-Traver which is essentially the same as the Traver you can look at older reviews of these models for ease of use, e.g. these:

And safety/crash testing review here:

Yes, you can definitely use it without isofix! It's been a good buy for us, I prefer it to our cybex one.
