Does anyone else have this carrier? My baby is 3 weeks old and the harness is soo light on his legs and belly :( I’ve worked out how to adjust the shoulder straps but is there a way to make the bit that goes on his legs looser? I know you can remove a little foam pad but surely I shouldn’t have to do that at 3 weeks old?

With a 5 point harness, it's all one bit of webbing so other than pulling it through the slots on the buckle there's not really any adjustment to be done with the side straps. It's a good idea to pull slack through from the sides and then tighten it up with the shoulder straps, so you can kind of do that in reverse. The shoulder straps should be tight as well, one shouldn't be tighter than the other if that makes sense. Best practice is to loosen the harness fully when you take him out, and then tighten it up so it's snug each time you put him in, rather than leaving it and just doing it up around him with the harness all small. This allows you to adjust it to his clothing for the day and as he grows.

It is supposed to be snug to his body, you don't want it too loose or he could be ejected if you have a crash. Babies don't mind things being tight as they are used to being tightly constricted in the womb, think about swaddling etc.

I wouldn't expect it's time to remove any inserts yet unless he's a very big baby?
