Carseat help!

Hi! need some help with a Group 1 iSize carseat and cars!

We currently have an BMW X5 (2008 model) and have recently purchased the Maxi Cosi Mica. However due to how the back seats of the X5 sit, it doesn't lay flat enough. Our little one is nearly a year old, however is a small baby and when he is in it and falls asleep due to the way the seats are his head flops forward.
We have reclined the carseat as much as it will go and have played around with the X5 seat to see if we can lay it flatter etc to try and help but nothing is working!

Does anyone have any suggestions? We are potentially looking for a new car another SUV so if anyone has any recommendations would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Unfortunately this is a common issue in cars with sloping seats.

If you're looking to change the car soon, maybe your little one still fits in his infant seat? Then I'd just see if you can measure the slope of your seats (use spirit level or Clinometer app) and when you're looking at different cars see if you can measure the angle of them to compare. If you're getting to the point of purchase and test drives are allowed, bring the car seat and install it in the car, then you can see if the angle is significantly different.

Maxi Cosi do have a comfort cushion insert (it's listed on their website as the Pearl insert) which may help but I'm not 100% sure whether you can use it with the Mica. (And I'm guessing your LO is too big for the newborn insert it comes with). It might be worth asking their customer services department.
