2.5yr old and almosy 18kg.. Help!

Hello,
My daughter is not quite 2.5yrs old but almost 18kg and about 100cm tall.
We currently have the Joie 360 spin.

So I need a new seat for her but totally lost. Everything I've read says under 4s are best in rear facing, but rear facing seats go up to 18kg!

Can anyone point me to some decent advise for taller little ones or recommend some seats?
I'm looking to buy one that will last longer now, rather than another year or 2. She grows fast!!
Thanks. Smile

We were in the same position a while ago. We got the Axkid Minikid which is rear facing up to 25kg.

Do you have a budget? Don’t worry, lots of options up to 25KG!

Rear facing car seats

Low budget under £250
Britax two way elite
Axkid move
Britax MaxWay

Middle budget £250-300
Britax multi tech
BeSafe izi plus
Diono radian 5

High budget £300+
Axkid MiniKid
Britax MaxWay plus
Klippan Century
Klippan Opti-29–this one actually goes up to 32kg so very long lasting, although it does have a height limit of 125cm which is a bit Hmm

Forward facing seats to 25kg
Joie bold—require isofix+tether+seatbelt for installation
Cosy n safe Excalibur—has a slightly shorter shell than the bold so may not last as long
Cosy n safe Hudson—the cheapest of 25KG seats
Diono radian 5–seat belt installed, requires tether for FF
Baby auto dupla— can actually RF to 18kg, harness time 25KG then a booster
Maxi Cosi beryl—the only one which doesn’t require top tether. Can be seatbelt installed or isofix

Don't forget there are a couple of new 25kg seats on the market now too :) Avionaut Sky which is RF to 25kg or 125cm.

Axkid One which is isofix fitted and up to 125cm or 23kg. Although pricey!

At 25kg rear facing seat got my very tall niece to 4 years old. It will fit my daughter till she's 7 or 8!
