Recently purchased the volta 360 but finding it really difficult to operate. The isofix extenders do not stay extended and slip back into seat during travel. What am I doing wrong?

Do you mean they're not connecting, or they're pulling the child seat into the seat back?

The first is a problem, the second is an intended safety feature.

I extend the isofix connectors to their full length to allow the full 360 movement of the seat. Whilst moving these connectors slip back into the child seat itself making any kind of rotation impossible.

I'm at a loss to work out what I'm doing wrong surely it isnt meant to be like this

Ah I see. Yes unfortunately that's what you get with cheaper rotation seats. The rotation turns out not to be particularly usable in everyday life because the seat isn't well designed. It's a bit of a con. It also may be to do with the shape of the seats in your car, but in any case being able to use the rotation feature should be a basic thing. With some of the other cheap ones they fit with top tether and the tether prevents rotation Confused

The reason isofix arms tend to pull back in is that you want as tight an installation as possible for safety and stability reasons.

Looking at their website they've been careful not to specifically say you're supposed to use the rotate in everyday use - it may be intended simply to allow the seat to be easily turned from rear to forward facing without reinstallation. But because other popular seats that rotate can be used like that more often, they are sort of relying on you having that assumption about their seat.

It actually looks like the tether should prevent rotation on this one too. Do you have the tether installed?

How weird.
Can you try and send it back if it's faulty?
We have the Joie isize 360 and doesn't have this issue.
