Booster seats in the hold

Has anyone taken a booster seat (backless) in the hold? Normally we put in suitcases but we are running out of room so might have to put in the hold. Has anyone done this before? By the way car seat is free to take w us so no issues there.

I don't think anything bad would happen to it. They are just a piece of moulded plastic with no impact absorption etc.

If you are really worried something like Bubble Bum might be better?
