Morning. I am looking at buying a new car seat as my son turned 4 in December and weighs nearly 25kg. He has just started saying that his current seat hurts him. I think he means the harness is too tight (i do struggle to get it together) any recommendations please? I am on a limited budget due to current climate and ideally would like isofix. Thank you x

You need a high back booster. If your budget is limited the Joie Trillo is a good option. However the best booster is the one that fits best in your car. Tricky to test them at the moment though!

With regards to isofix, with a high back booster it is the seatbelt that holds the child in place. Isofix doesn't do anything to add to the safety of the seat. HBBs may have isofix but that is to hold the seat in place when the child isn't in the car. If your HBB doesn't have isofix, you have to strap the seatbelt around the empty seat before you travel.

Hi. Thank you for replying. I ended up going for the graco affix HBB. My boy fits in it lovely and said he is more comfortable. Didn't think i would be so sentimental over a car seat x
