How do your lo's get on with the impact shield?

I used to have an impact shield seat for DS1, ten years ago now. He got on fine with it, and I really liked the seat. However I wouldn't buy one today unless it was an absolute last resort for a child who couldn't tolerate any other kind of seat. The safety just does not stack up on them especially when you compare to what else is on the market today. There have been so many safety innovations and impact shields have been found wanting.
