Car seat for Mazda rx8

Hi
Can anyone help before I lose my mind! I am looking for an iso-fix car seat which fits the rear seats of the Mazda RX8. Initially I tried a car seat using seatbelt but this was not suitable as the car seat belts on this model are attached to the doors!
I tried a Nania Iso fix front facing car seat and although this attached to the cars anchor it couldn’t be released as there is no room to put your fingers in around the bucket seat to release the buttonsand this had to be taken out By a mechanic at further expense by dismantling the car seat. Can anyone recommend an iso fix car seat for my nine month old grandson that would fit this model of car. I suppose I need one where the release buttons are on the seat itself rather than on the isofix levers?? Any of you mums able to help???? X

Hi Jules, are you on facebook at all? There is a really good facebook group called Car Seat Advice UK that would be able to help. Unfortunately you have to be patient as they close posting and only open it occasionally, but if you can manage to get a post on there they are really good.

I don't know if you know this, but at 9 months your grandon really needs to be rear facing still for safety. This is now recommended until he is at least (minimum) 15 months old, preferably up to age 3, and with the right seat it's possible for him to be rear facing even longer, if you want to (as it is safer at any age).
