Car seat crash??

Hi I was involved in a minor accident (25- 30mph someone pulled out on me hit back passenger door) my sons car seat was where the impact was (luckily he wasn’t in there at the time. Could I claim on the insurance for a new one? Or could they say no because my son wasn’t in the vehicle? I’ll be buying a new one anyway as I get pretty paranoid about car seat safety, but as the crash wasn’t my fault I’d rather not replace it from my own pocket.

Dh car had the car seat base but no car seat in and they replaced it on insurance

The insurance should payup but even not surely fault doesn't come into it when it's for your dcs safety.

If its Maxi Cosi then they replace their seats in a non-fault accident. Saw it mentioned recently on Hotukdeals.
