Uppababy Car Seat on Other Strollers

I have buyer’s remorse over my Uppababy Vista. It’s too big and bulky. I’m going to get a smaller, more lightweight stroller but don’t want to waste even more money on a new car seat. Which other stroller brands can take the Uppababy Mesa car seat?

I have a Vista and as far as I know, you don't use the adapters for the Mesa? Which means that I don't think it's compatible with other brands. We had infant car seats that used the fairly universal adapters so I'm not sure but I think the Mesa just clips onto the same clips as the carrycot and seat and therefore is Uppababy specific.

However you can get a good infant car seat for £40 (Joie Juva) or depending on the age of your child, you could get the next stage of car seat which will remain in the car. The safest and longest lasting option would be a good 25kg ERF seat such as the Axkid Minikid or Britax Two Way Elite but these are only really suitable if your child is about 12mo.

We used the Cruz which I love (now using for second child!), which could be a good option.

It's bulkier than some, but not huge, and so easy to push around. The basket is amazing & it's a great height for chatting to your baby.
