Small newborn car seat

I was given a brand new britax romer car seat by a friend as we have our second child in April. So, I went and got an isofix base for my car (Dodge Caliber) but it's so big that the front seat has to be all the way forward. So, I need a new to find a smaller seat. We previously had a Graco one for our son (now 23 months) but I can remember which one it was but it was a perfect fit. Anyone know of any good small size car seats. Just an FYI the baby is going to be around 6lb (our son was 6lb 7oz)

Can you not just that seat belted in without an isofix base?

does it take up less room without the base as it can be fitted with the belt

Yes, it does work with the belt, it only makes a small difference.

We had a Cybex Aton which was small but was outgrown by 7 months.
