Silver cross simplicity dangerous?!

Hi all

Looking for anyone who has experience or knowledge or silver cross simplicity car seat

Since day one DS has looked scrunched up,in it have been through all the guidelines on straps etc so definitely not a set up issue our end, 2months on still seeing his chin to chest and becoming lethargic and after a while kinda pale to me

Now DH and MIL made me feel like I was crazy and paranoid and that's how he just sits in it and no he's def not pale but I'm just not one of these crazy ppl that always thinks something wrong when it isn't.

Anyway long story short this afternoon silver cross customer service called me and agreed that position was not good for DS and have asked me to send photo of him in the seat and will then look at if anything can be done/suggest not sure what that means but now knowing I was right I can't drive him anywhere.

Thoughts?! Similar instances?!?!

My DD3 was in an accident in this car seat, rear end shunt at 70mph. The police took one look at her in the seat and said the ambulance service need not even look at her as the seat was so solid. She was asleep when it happened, and still asleep after. She was just over 12 months at the time. When she was smaller she did look less comfortable but I think she might have had a head hugger. We made a 6 hour trip with her in it and she did not seem bothered.

However, if you are concerned go with how you feel. You know best as it is your child.

We used this car seat and never had any problem with it. My little one was always safe and secure. I have had experience with maxi cosi since moving to next stage seat and like you have done I contacted the company and they replaced the seat in a matter of days. Baby safety is very important to the companies reputations. Hope you get it sorted

I would probably have complained about that. What a ridiculous judgement for the police to make.
