Car seat/travel systems from 9 months?

Hi there my DD is 6 months old but I've read that around 9 months you need to change the car seat. No worries. We have the Silvercross Simplicity car seat which clips to the Silver cross Pioneer travel system. Does this mean that the future car seat won't clip to the pioneer? Or can you get adaptors? Does the car seat stay in the car and doesn't get carried out anymore? It's so confusing!! Any advice would be appreciated. It's really confusing me. I am ill so maybe that's why it's mashing my head but I just want some simple advice! Thanks x

You don't have to change at 9 months. You shouldn't change before 9 months. My 50th centile DD was in her baby car seat until around 17 months.

The next stage car seat won't fit on the pushchair wheels, no. It stays in the car. Rear facing is safest.

If you carry the baby in the car seat a lot I'd keep her in it as long as possible! (Though they get v v heavy as they get older!)

Look for the weight measurement. Children move out of their infant seat at all different times weight dependant.

Your next car seat won't clip on to your travel system, but you won't want to carry them in a car seat at all by that point. Too heavy!

Please do research about forward facing vs rear facing before you think about it!

I was told by Mothercare last night that the silver cross seat should last until 12 months.....I hadn't removed the bottom cushion

SilverCross Simplicity car seat can be used until your baby is 13kg/29lb.

Re. Future car seat not clipping into pioneer, I don't think it will but your baby and car seat will be way too heavy to lift anyway!!
