My youngest is 2, but a tiddler and still under 9kg, so in the original stage 0 car seat he's always been in.

He's getting a bit tall for it now so I'm looking to get another car seat, extended rear facing because he's so small.

At the moment the Joie stages looks good, but also considering the tilt and the every stage - anyone recommend one over another?

We have two cars, one with isofix one without, but I'm unsure if we'll be switching between cars or end up getting two (I'm a fan of fitting the seat and leaving it in).

Any thoughts?

We don't drive ourselves, so we got the every stage to leave in fil's car. It seems to be well made, and the price was very reasonable, as it's not used that often.

We have the stages for my 2yr old. The pros are that it's cheap, rear facing, and easily fitted. The cons is that the straps twist easily, it's hard to tighten, and my little one can get his arms out, so I had to buy a chest clip type thing. I didn't have any of these problems with my (more expensive, admittedly) rear facing britax seat that my 3yr old is in.

We've got the every stage and have been really pleased with it. Very easy to fit and move between cars (our other seat is isofix so we take the joie when we go on holiday to use in hire car, taxis etc and it literally takes less than a minute to swap between cars). Agree the straps can twist but I've had no issues with tightening them or with escaping child.

Also v easy to take all the covers off and clean (we have a travel sick toddler).
