My car hasn't got isofix points and I'm almost convinced I can't get them fitted but I'm looking for a car seat for my DD which is rear facing and does from 9kg-18kg which fits with a seat belt and I don't need to take a mortgage out for! Is there such a product out there?

Have a look at the Joie range.

Ideally the data suggests it's better for children to remain rear facing and harnessed until they turn 4. If your Red Book looks as though she will exceed 18kg before then, or if she's tall, then a 25kg seat will be abetter investment. The Britax Two Way Elite is worth looking at, it's only available in this country from the In Car Safety Centre (although I believe you can buy it overseas and have it shipped to the UK too).
