Recaro zero 1 car seat ... head slump!!

I've recently invested in the above car seat, and I'm severely disappointed with it. The seat has five recline positions but they hardly adjust the angle of the seat meaning my 9 month old baby's head slumps forward when (and if he manages to) fall asleep.
I'm so surprised that all the reviews seem to be great for it and that others aren't having this problem??
I've also bought a £50 Argos seat for emergency use in the in-laws car and he looks so comfortable and drifts off happily laid back.
Has anyone had similar experience's?
I tried to return it but because it had been fitted in the car the retailer refused.

Try contacting the manufacturer rather than the retailer. The retailer won't be able to re-sell the seat but the manufacturer might have more leverage in keeping you as a customer. They aren't cheap seats so hopefully you'll get some support from them.

One thought though - if he's only 9 months wouldn't he fit into his baby seat for a bit longer? And when he's outgrown it he might be a bit bigger and better suited to the Recaro. Though it does say it's from birth so that's a bit confusing. Are you using it rear or forward facing?
