Cybex Juno 2 Fix

As a follow up to my earlier first time post, has anyone had any experience with the Cybex Juno 2. Apparently if you're going to have a forward facing 14 month old, it's the best one out there and uses a sort of padded cushion to support/protect the baby instead of straps. In a crash it spreads the impact better...in theory. Can anyone give me any ideas from first hand experience. Thanks very much if you can. Amy

Hi, I've just bought this seat for my son, it really is excellent. However my son is 3 years old and actually still rear faces the majority of the time (in my car, the juno fix is in my mums car and only for logistical reasons because a RF one wasn't practical). I really wouldn't FF your 14 month old if you can help it.

If you must FF I'm not convinced that the Juno is the way to go, it has (as you probably know) an impact cushion instead of a 5 point harness. Generally I am of the opinion (professional opinion is divided) that an impact cushion is superior for a FF seat however for a younger child I don't think it works, the cushion is so big on a smaller child it inevitably comes up too high on their chest and causes their arms to be pinned up near their heads - still safe, just so uncomfortable. Definitely find a store and try before you buy...
