Britax First Class Plus v Joie Stages

I'd welcome any views and experiences on these as trying to decide between the two for one-year-old Baby Mint.

Joie Stages, because it rear faces to 18kgs rather than the 13kgs that the First Class does.

It's also easier to fit rear facing, the lap part of the belt just goes over the seat (the baby ends up sitting on top of it), with the First Class you have to faf about feeding the lap part under the seat.

I've had a First Class for the past 9 1/2 years (I bought it when DS was about 4 months old and have used it for my two girls from birth too), I do love it but I think the Stages is better and feels more stable in the car when fitted rear facing. I recently bought a Stages for my mums car, so have had experience of both seats.

Just seen this. Please make sure you have the new Joie Stages as the older model was a Which DON'T buy.

Which? themselves say that the new model is a completely different seat.

Oh, that's not good. Mine must be a new one, I bought it from the Rear Facing Toddlers lady who ordered it direct from Joie for me a couple of months ago. It's a new colour (the red one) and it came with the blue seatbelt clip.
