Newborn car seat for a Ford Fiesta

I've got a 2003 Fiesta Ghia and no idea where to start with car seats (baby due in Jan so plenty of time).

I'll probably be opting for a seat which stays in the car rather than a travel system as the latter sounds like it'll be bulky when on public transport which I will be a fair amount, living in London.

Anyone with a Fiesta and any advice?

I dont have a Fiesta but I do have a Focus. We have an infant seat for DS (clicks into the buggy) and an Extended Rear Facing seat for DD (nearly four). In about a month,Graco will be releasing a seat which stays put in the car and goes from birth, rear faces to 3/4yo, and then turns into a hugh back booster. Its around the £150 mark.

A similar seat would be the Joie Stages but if your Fiesta is anything like my Focus the belt wont reach round it.

Look for "Car Seat Advice for Mummies and Daddies" on Facebook - they have a Fit Guide on their oage for seats and cars, and also some good advisors.

Thanks, that's really useful! I'll check out the FB page too.

I have a 3-door, 07 Fiesta.
We use a maxi-cosy with an easy base.
We also easily got adaptors to clip the maxi cosy onto our pram frame (baby jogger).
