I've got a Cybex Pallas but j think the new rules came into play today meaning you really should RF till 15 months.

I'll only get Cybex car seats due to the roll bars and I trust them

Do you need to buy a new car seat? If your infant seat is Group 0+, it should be fine for a while yet. DD1 lasted until 17 months in her Maxi Cosi Cabriofix. She is 50th centile.

Your asking two different questions.

Recalls are on manufacturers website. However quick google shows this.

The safest seat for a child is a rear facing seat. Information on that here and also how to see if current seat outgrown (unlikely)

That recall is for bases made before March 2010. Those bases would be 5yrs old now anyway and therefore not safe anyway.

Expiry dates are a source of dispute amongst the experts.

Britax say they don't expire.

Maxi cosi suggest 5 year for the cabriofix yet in the family fix manual there is no expiry date.
