Just want to start looking at the next size up car seat for dd as she's getting near the 9kg I think (got her 10-12 month check up monday) but just want to know which retailers are best to go to to try out car seats. The nearest big John lewis to us is Blue Water so happy to travel if need be

are you sure the infant carrier only does her until 9kg as most of them are suitable up to 13kg? 9kg is the minimum for turning them forward facing but that doesn't mean you should move them at that weight as there is an overlap. You also have an option of an extended rear facing seat.

Definetly keep her in her infant seat until her head pokes over the top ir she exceedsthe maximum weight.
