ERF / combination seat for small 3 door car

Hi,

My son is 9 months and growing out of his baby seat. I want to keep him rear facing as long as possible. However, we have a 3 door VW Polo. There is no way I could get him in and out of a fixed rear facing seat so I'm looking at ones that easily swivel from front to back (e.g Britax Dualfix). However, these seats are quite bulky and don't really leave enough room for a passenger to sit comfortably. Does anyone know if there are any ERF seats which swivel easily to forward facing without removing the seat and which are more compact (and preferably cheaper!) than the Britax? Or am I asking too much?

TIA

Umm, possibly asking too much!

Do you just have the one child? I think what most people with ERF seats in 3-door cars do is climb in the back with the child and sit on the car's back seat next to them to strap them in. But obviously this gets tricky if there is another child seat in there too. Then when the child gets older they can clamber into the seat themselves, but you still have to strap them in of course.

Have you looked at the Cybex one that swivels?

Also, having a rear facing seat in the front is perfectly possible (without the airbag of course). That would make your life a lot easier!

Not sure which ones swivel , but these guys are great for chatting through your needs and know all the seats they sell really well.

Thank you both. Yes - we have two car seats in the back which makes getting him in hard. Will see what securatot say.
