Fitting EasyFix base: Need filler for underfloor storage compartment in Ford SMax

During fitting of the Easyfix base to our Ford SMax, we were told that the supporting leg of the base cannot rest on the lid of the underfloor storage compartment behind the 2 front seats. We thought the simple solution was to remove the lid of the compartment and extend the supporting leg to the actual floor of the car but it won't extend that far. In the car manual, it states that fillers are available to make the compartment suitable for the supporting leg but after searching extensively online, we cannot find an image of these or heard from anyone who has actually got one.
I will contact my local Ford dealer asap but just wondering if anyone has had the same issue and if Ford will provide these fillers (car was bought second-hand so maybe they come with a new car?)

As far as im aware a isofix base should not need any adaptions to fit in the car. You should just be able to click it in and not have to adapt anything isofix or car related.

Have you been into a car fitting shop to see if the isofix is compatible with your car? Not all isofixs are compatible with every car

I had the exact same issue with a grand c max and the dealers couldn't gell either. Mine did extend into the footwell but when I bought the next stage it didn't. However, the driver side footwell has a foam filler in it that was fitted by the manufacturer and after much googling i discovered that this was ok (I also spoke to major car seat manufacturers). In my last car I found that the Isofix leg didn't extend as far as the footwell so you might find it is ok.
