Hi all

We are nearly at the end of a long adoption process and are adopting 2 little boys age 4 and 5.

They are with foster carers and don't use car / booster seats just the seatbelt.

I want to get the correct boosters, can anyone recommend any good ones -will need 2 for both mine and hubby's car.

They will both need high backed booster seats, possibly with built in straps rather than using the seatbelt, depending on their weight and height.

high backed boosters would work if both are over 18kgs. If they are under 18kgs then they should still be harnessed (although high backed boosters are ok from 15kgs)

Britax Kidfix are rated well, we have one in one car, and it's great. We also have a Cybex whatever their booster is, and that's good, too. If you're buying 4 boosters, are there any bogof deals?!

I would be careful with boosters, as the cheaper ones run the risk of 'submarining' where they can actually end up with injuries because of the seat.

Sign up to the Which? trial, and have a read of the reviews to decide. If you're buying 4 seats, for kids which aren't used to them, you can need to go for a more 'open' style, so they don't feel too contained?

My 6 year old hates being in the car not in his seat, though, as it's so 'wobbly', so you may find they like them?

(And congratulations, hope all goes well for you.)
