Recently purchased a second car and looking to get a Car seat for the car just in case.

DD is nearly 3, 14 kgs, roughly 98 cms. I know she is too small for a HBB, but I have seen the mothercare advance XP which is 5 point harness now, but the harness can be removed when DD hits 18kgs.

Not looking to spend too much because she will only be in it 1 or 2 days a month at very most and she will need to get a HBB for our main car when she hits 18kg, probably a britax or maxi-cosi so intend to spend on that.

Any advice? I want to get the best seat within budget (£70 at most)

graco and nania ones are quite good, best bet - keep an eye out for supermarket baby events where you get things really heavily discounted for baby and toddler

I would not get that seat as Nania seats are not great. For £10 more you can get a britax eclipse which is a much better seat.

With the Nania seat the belt doesnt seat very well across the child when its a high back booster. Its also doesn't go up very high and is not very comfy to sit in.

Britax and graco boosters can be very cheap and are easy to move and its always handy to have a spare. The maxi cosy web sit say 100cm for high back booster although your dd is not heavy enough.

What seat do you have in your main car could you just move it for a few months until she is heavier.

Are you planning to exspand your family what about getting a good seat like the new one from britax ADVANSAFIX That she could use now but also a sibling could use later.

really? I love my nania and its got these red lever things to hold it in place too but it is the mickey mouse one. The graco is good too and is easier moved from car to car than the nania is but I always found britax awful for fitting and cheap plastic bits. maxi cosy are good too but really expensive.

I recently got DS a new seat (HBB) and looked at the Which reports when choosing. Graco were frequently put into the "don't buy" category so I'd avoid them if I were you. I went with Britax in the end, all their seats had very good reviews.

Thanks for replies guys. I was looking at britax/maxi-cosi. Definetly not buying grace or nania after seeing which reviews. I'm not planning on expanding the family any further, so the seat only has to do Dd, she has a britax eclipse in our main car and it's too big and bulky to move, plus we want the flexibility of having a seat in each car so we don't have to worry about remembering who needs the seat and poss forgetting to swap it.

The mothercare advance XP is a mother branded nania seat so that rules that one out

It could take a while for your child to get to 18kg maybe another 2 years. I would ether get another eclipse or move the eclipse into the second car and get either a britax evolva or wait for the new britax one to come out.

Britax do do a really cheap about £50 booster seat so just getting a high back for the next seat will be cheaper.
