Cybex q-fix or x2-fix?

Does anyone have any ideas about the difference between these two seats? As far as I can tell, it's the air circulation in the cover, and the width fitting. And £30! So... is the q-fit worth £30 more than the solution x2?

TIA

The q-fix is the newer model (replacing the x2...I think). It expands outwards as well as upwards to accommodate a growing child.

I'm thinking of getting it but steeply priced at 190 quid. Anyone know how long Cybex seats last for? I know Britax have a ten year life whereas Maxi-Cosi is only five years. Not as keen spending almost 200 quid if it will need replacing in five years!!

I'm just not too sure whether the average child does enough expanding outwards to make £30 worthwhile? My child is tall and skinny, so the fact that it's assumed the expand outwards as they expand upwards may not be a good thing? (A bit like getting boots for me- having enormously long feet does not mean I have fatter calves than people with smaller feet!)

But, if DC is in it until 12, then that's £5 year extra to possibly make him more comfy? Hmmm....
