Next seat for 1yo - too much choice!

My daughter has just turned one and weighs 11kg. She is on the 91st centile for weight and length. Currently she is in a cabriofix but I've been looking at getting her a bigger seat because I think she'll only last another month on hers.

I think my head might explode! I went to Mothercare and Mamas & Papas yesterday and I came out empty handed.

I'm sure I want a rear facing seat after seeing some horrendous videos on YouTube :(

I liked the Cybex Sirona but don't like the impact cushion for forward facing? But if dd stays RF then it won't be used anyway.

I also liked the Besafe combi as the legroom was really good.

I Liked the 2 way pearl too, but the fit finder only goes back as far as 2005 and our car is a 2004 poor no one would recommend this seat as the fit finder said No.

Any Britax with a support leg is out as we have underfloor storage compartments and none of their seats are approved.

Any experience of either the Cybex or Besafe seats? Is there something else I should consider?

We bought the Cybex Sirona. Really happy with it. DD is rear facing so we never needed the impact cushion.

I definitely think dd would stay rearfacing until too tall/heavy for the car seat.
Looking on the securatot website I've also seen a Besafe seat that is rearfacing only as I'm not wanting to turn her ff. just consisting myself more :)

It's a nightmare. We drove both cars to the Glasgow Pram Centre and spent 2 hours fitting car seats. One car then had to be sold as no car seats would fit it.

Our storage compartments are proving to be problematic.
I have seen that Besafe approve the use of a storage compartment as long as it's filled.

This is my 4th dc but first time erf, it seems to have gone over my head before.

No support leg (I've got one in a vauxhall vectra one of the most nightmare cars for correctly fitting seats in it also fits in all the other cars I go in and has been checked my a ERF fitter so I know it really does fit them all) it's ERF to 25kg

Klippan triofix recline. Rear facingoption to 18kg. No impact cushion if you turn it forwards. Converts to high back booster after 18kg so will get your moneys worth.

Ah missed the storage leg bit. Never mind.

I have a cybex the red one which FF as I don't have an Isofix car.

Love it and they're really good I brought the other Isofix one for my son in my friends car as we car share a lot the impact coshion is really good! No matter how tight my friend does the should straps her DS can still get out! My son had never tried but can't get out from underneath the cushion which helps prevent whiplash anyhow!

What age is your son with the cushion? Mine is 23 months and big for his age. I put him in it this morning and he looked really uncomfortable. His arms were pushed upwards. not good for his shoulders on a long journey.
