seatbelt fixed ERF seats?

I need to buy an additional ERF seat for my toddler to use in grandparents cars. We have a Britax isofix ERF as the main seat. We got an isofix one as with our infant carrier as our car and grandparents' cars seatbelts were too short to go round the seat. But the ERF seats are so pricey. I'm interested to know if the Joie Stages or any other belt fix ERF seat fits in your car, even if a Cabriofix infant carrier didn't....? Thanks!

Oh thanks, I'll check that out. Does it fix in with the long bit of the seatbelt going round the back of the car seat?

No, the seat belt threads under the seat section at the front of the seat so not round the back at all.

Second the britax two way elite. There are different seatbelt routing options depending on belt length. If you're anywhere near Milton Keynes the in car safety centre are v helpful

I agree that the Two Way Elite is almost always the simplest (and cheapest) answer.

The only down side is that it needs to touch the back of the front seat. So if you need to regularly adjust the position of the front seat for any reason, it is a pain to then adjust the TWE again. But if you can leave it be, or are going to just fit it for occasional use, then it's perfect :)

We have a TWE and a britax maxway ( think that's it , all blurred into one). It's a bit more complicated than the TWE though.

I've got the britax maxway in a fiesta which doesn't have particularly long seat belts.

I have the stages and I think it needs about as much seatbelt as an infant seat.
You'd reallyneedto try it to see if it fits.

Most proper ERF seats route the seatbelt through the seat under where the child's legs are, the diagonal bit goes through there too and does not have to go right round the seat like it does with an infant carrier.

The seatbelt for the Joie stages does have to go right round the seat though, so you might struggle with that if your seatbelts are short.

The Maxway is a reasonable price I think. I have this seatbelted ERF seat, but it's a bit more pricy www.securatot.co.uk/britax-multi-tech-II?category_id=61

Just jumping on your thread because I was about to post the very same question! Seems the two way elite is a popular choice then?

Mine would be for my parent's cars (would need to move quite often between the two). Second seat would have to be Isofix or seatbelt, or seatbelt only as my dad's car doesn't have Isofix.

I have just watched the YouTube video on installation and it doesn't look as complicated as some. I would feel ok about fitting it once I have seen it professionally fitted. For anybody using it in different cars do you have two sets of tether straps? And does the passenger in the front seat have very restricted leg room when this seat is installed?

Ijustworemytrenchcoat I have a twe and move it between three cars every week. I have two sets of tethers; one set stays in one of the cars all if the time and the other is moved as the third car only uses it once a week.

Wrt legroom it is possible to have a passenger in the front in all of the three cars but there isn't masses of room although it is adequate.

I really like the twe and would recommend buying two sets of tethers as once they are in position the seat is so easy to install as it is just a case of threading the seatbelt through and attaching the tethers to the seat.
