Does anyone have any experience with this car seat for extended rear facing use?

DD (16 months) still fits in her Maxicosi Pebble weight- and height-wise, but we will probably move her to a new seat in the new year and want to keep her rear facing.

This one is getting good reviews on John Lewis, but especially given the cost involved (£350) I thought if check on here too!

Thank you

I've got an idea that it's massive. It didn't fit in my golf iirc.

Thanks bonzo. I've read a bit more online and it does seem big, although others do say it seems to fit in the Passat which we have.

Will do some more research though.

If you are after ERF google "in car safety centre" they have branches at Milton Keynes, Essex and Belfast. Very helpful. I ended up with the klippan kiss which fits fine in the golf, is isofix (but you can use the belt if necessary) and has no tethers so is really quick and easy to fit. Also the cheapest of the ERF seats with isofix.

We have one, it has fitted fine in the following cars...
Audi a3, Nissan qasqai, honda frv, honda civic

The leg room was a bit reduced for the front passenger in the Audi, and the qashqai but still manageable (and I'm 5ft11)

What car do you have?

blueberryboybait · 21/12/2013 20:36

We have two and have had one or both in an X3, X5, Renault Scenic, Peugeot 206, the latter left little leg room in the front. Have a look at www.securatot.co.uk for pictures of them fitted in lots of different cars.

Thanks both. We have a VW Passat and are 5ft7 and 5ft8 so not really tall. Will need to fit a maxicosi in the backseat as well for DC2 but assume that won't be an issue. As it happens am in Sweden atm where rear facing is much more popular (possibly even mandatory?) so will have a look what they're selling here. Thanks again
