Rear facing car seat For a 15mo.... Recommendations please!

So I want LO tone rear facing as long as possible but which one is easy touse?

Other details:
LO is stocky - average height & weight but clear rugby player heritage coming through!
No iso fix so just fixed by the seat belt
For a range rover so there is plenty of room

Can we get one that will last until from now (at 15mo) until LO is 4yo? Or are they not so easy to use/uncomfortable?

Personal experience is what I seek please. Everyone I know moved their LO Into a FF car seat months ago, whilst DS is cooped up in the car seat he came home from the hospital in!

I don't really have any advice I'm afraid, but I do know my friend who had her son in a rear facing seat designed for toddlers but his legs were just too long and he was very uncomfortable.

He was average height.

She took him out just before he was 2.

We have a britax which goes up to 25kg. It is not isofix, can be rear or forward facing.

I can't remember the exact name. DS is 90th centile and still comfy rear facing age 3.

It fits fine in our cars (honda jazz & Citroen berlingo) and was fine in the PILs ford focus.

Thoroughly recommend it.

I have the Britax Two Way Elite. Comfy, can recline, wide seat so good for a chunky bubs, easy to fit amd probably the cheapest ERF seat (220). Can RF to 4. DD is 22mo and very tall and seems perfectly happy. Sje usually sits with her feet in front and her knees flopped to each side. Or with legs dangling over each side.

I am very hapoy with my purchase, had it 13m.

Top one in the list on this page. Britax 2 way elite. The incar safety center are very good if you can get to them.

Hello my 22mth old has just grown out of her Cabrio fix.

We have had a Maxi Cosi mobi- good seat installed with belt., Excellent recline but smaller shell than most so unlikely to last til 4 if tall. It wasn't the best fit in one of our cars so sold it . (brought off a friend so not a major mistake)

Besafe izi combi isofix., You can get better. Good seat. Heavy though and slightly trickier to install than some if using belted version.

Axkid kidofix LOVE IT. My 116cm DS could fit it it if necessary. Harness and headrest adjust with one pull making it easy to transport a range of ages. Cheaper models available which are equally as good.

Have seen all the other major ones on the market. I'd look at the axkid minikid if buying one now.

My son is tall - when still being measured by the HF was 98th centile for height/weight - and he was in a Britax 2 way Elite until he was 4, no trouble at all. In a very small car, too.

It can be fixed by the tether/belt alone, but it's a nightmare to fit. We went to the Incar Safety Centre in Milton Keynes to get them to show us how.

We have a recaro polaric - it's a bit of a beast so would be no good in a small car but its v. Plush and ds (2) is still very comfy in it!
