Hi all,

I'm looking for some advice on where to put my daughter in my 3 door car.

My DD is coming up a year, and we have just moved her out of her maxi cosi cabriofix and bought a Britax Eclipse.

Now I have always had her up front with me with the airbag turned off. But now we have a forward facing seat, which is currently in the back. But due to only having 3 doors I'm not happy with how it fits. It seems quite loose as opposed to when it's in my husband's 5 dr. We seem to struggle due to the fact you can't get down the side easily. Also getting her in the back is hard without the extra door. Can she go up front with me? I have read the laws and it seems she can. Although they say it's safer in the back. The seat would need to be as far back as it can go from the dashboard. Would the airbag need to be turned back on?

Or should I really have got a different seat?

Thanks

I woudnt have her forward facing so young see www.rearfacing.co.uk. Force of air bag has cause horrible injuries in an accident.

Maybe look at a Joie stages in front seat rearfacing with air bag turned off?

I know all about the rf/ff debate, but we have chosen ff. I have found that the britax doesn't sit very well on the seat either. I've got a Peugeot 206, which I've just googled and apparently they have the worst seat shape for car seats. Has anyone else got this car?
