Car seats

Which should I get please a Britax 2-way Elite or a Max-Way?

I know that I definitely want an erf seat which goes up to 25kg and have seen these two Britax seats on two different websites which are nowhere near me so looking at them both would be very difficult.

Does anyone have either of them and could tell me what they think please?

Also has anyone ordered a seat online and had it delivered ok as I am concerned about it being damaged in transit and not realising even though I would obviously check it over?

The seat also needs to be able to be moved between three cars, a Corsa and an i20 being the smaller two.

Thank you

I've got the TWE and it's been fine, easy to fit and move and ds1 has found it comfortable. He's still rf in it at 4.5 and ds2 will be going into it when I get a new seat for ds1.

I'm currently looking at the next stage up seats for ds1 and so have been looking at the which reviews. The TWE hasn't been reviewed but the max way is a 'don't buy'.

Thank you both of you, your comments have helped me make up my mind. We shall have a twe then as I did like it in the first place and as you said it does have a higher back so much more head/neck support.

Just a bit nervous of having it delivered but I suppose they were all delivered once Smile

I also have a TWE as well as a Multitech. The TWE is easy to move between cars, the Multitech stays firmly where it is! It's actually my second TWE as the first was in an accident, all came from the In Car Safety Centre who packed them brilliantly and I had no problems.

It would be the In Car Safety Centre I would be buying it from. I did want to go and have a look but as it is a 2.5 hour drive away it's not really practical.

I have the TWE (well, I have two of them, one for each DD)

I don't know about harnessing on the other seat but you can use the harness in the TWE up to 25k. This wasn't something I really thought about when I bought it for baby DD1.

However, we turned her forward facing around her fourth birthday (she's tall for her age) and I really like the fact that she is still harnessed (which is apparently far safer than using the adult belt). Most seats require you to discontinue using a harness at 18k but DD1 can be harnessed for a long while yet.
