Maxi cosi pebble and bugaboo cameleon

Just wandered if anyone has had a similar issue.

We have purchased a bugaboo cameleon and have chosen the maxi cosi pebble as the car seat, however the adapters go on the pram frame but the car seat doesn't go on or off without a lot of force and pulling pushing.

Obviously this is not usable and therefore I'm trying to establish a solution as staff in mothercare and at bugaboo don't have a solution.

If anyone has any ideas or has had a similar problem I would be grateful to hear the solutions.

Thanks

Yep - exactly the same problem, it's bloody impossible to release from the adaptors. I've had to take it home with an adaptor still stuck on the seat, before (yes it still clicks onto the base in the car - just)

I've stopped using this combination, but haven't found a better option - so watching with interest.

Just rang Dorel who make Maxi Cosi - they said Bugaboo make the adaptors so ring them.

She said I wasn;'t the only person to ring up with this problem though.

Yep same problem here as well. I'm glad I'm not the only one. My dh was making out I was just being a bit of a weakling as it does work, it's just a huge amount of pushing, pulling, wiggling and swearing.

Yes same problem. Took it back and got another one, an older model but much better. Extremely bad design.

Cleo - did y ou change the seat? If so was it the Cabriofix you replaced it with?

OP I don't know if you've had your baby yet but the pebble and a newborn is not ideal IMO either - mine was way too small for the straps, it was really unsafe for the first few weeks as his legs rested above the crotch strap - there's no way they would go either side.
