Problem tightening strap on Britax Evolva Plus 123

Loving my son's new car seat with one exception- it's putting my pelvic floor to the test every time I try and tighten the strap. I'm pulling soooo hard but it still feels very loose. I don't think it's the awkward angle or me being feeble! Is there a knack to it, or am I doing something wrong?!

Take it out and check under it. The clip was twisted on the underside of mine.

Nope nothing is twisted, although the car seat belt obviously sits over the mechanism at the back. Could that be it? It's bloody impossible!

Right tried it with no child in - easy as pi!
How is it so back breakingly impossible with a body in there?!

Sorry to hijack, but I've been having major problems tightening my Britax eclipse too. I was just about to post a question of my own! I have problems with my joints and I'm finding it so hard to pull that tiny strap tight enough. I might have to move to another seat. Does anyone have any suggestions for a stage 1 seat that is easier to tighten the straps on?
