Going crazy - according to website it should fit my car. I've belted it in correctly and pulled tight but it still moves about. I've got a seat protector on so not sure if that makes a difference.

Can someone please suggest a way(s) to make it safe or do I need a different seat?

I drive an 2009 Clio tourer (estate Clio)

Im not a fan of the prince to be honest. When looking at friends and reinstalling them tighter for them I found them not as solid as I would like.

Take the seat protector out and try again.

Get some body weight in the seat as you install it. A knee or an arm of someone elses is ideal - if not just yourself.

When installed the test to see if it installed is to pull on the harness. It shouldnt come more than 1cm away from seat its installed on.

Also make sure any head rest is raised or removed as this can affect install.

I dont know age of child you are using it on but are you aware of extended rearfacing? www.rearfacing.co.uk and www.carseat.se

For a long 1year I'd - cant afford the expensive rear facing ones

Just thought i'd mention it. To be honest if babys tall they are likely to outgrown this stage quickly too which actually makes the britax two way elite good value at £220 due to its high shell and long life.

We had a Prince in second car. I had to constantly tighten it up. I found the straps a faff too. I too suggest remove the seat protector, get someone to help you with the seatbelt as you press down with your knee. It probably won't stay tight for very long though. I found this in various cars. Also remember if you want to recline the seat you have to tighten the belt again.

Just remembered - it might be more secure in the recline position, it was in my old Corsa, perhaps try that?

This CARSEAT is heading to eBay what ever position it won't stay tight! Grrrrrrrrr
