Car seat for Kia Picanto 2006 - help!

I wondered if anyone could help. We've just been to Mothercare and Halfords who both have said they would not fit a child seat in the car after testing various car seat models. Has anyone experienced this? Any suggestion on what car seat does fit this car? Thanks :)

Try Babies R Us, I was car seat trained when I worked for them years ago. They won't fit it after you have bought it as a precaution, but they will test it in your car for you before hand to see if it fits and whether buckle crunch is present - as this can prevent them from working in an accident. Best to ring up and ask to speak to someone on the BRU desk before you go to save time and top pre-warn them you're coming.
