...is it worth getting one?
I really like the look of the footmuff for the car seat but not sure if they are actually any good. I think with the winter coming (although it already feels like winter!) it might be better than blankets, but don't want to waste my money. Advise please :-)

As children shouldn't be in carseats for very long and modern cars warm up very quickly. I think blankets are better unless you have a old car with now heater. I used to dress dc in indoor cloths put a fleecy wrap thing round and blanket over the top that I could pull off once the car was warm.

I had one for my cabriofix and used it loads with my 2 winter babies. Mine zipped off at the front, so the back was left on all the time and the front zipped on as and when needed. Eg as above if going on a long journey with heater on I wouldn't put front on.
V handy for babies that kick the blankets/their socks off and good for whizzing round shops. Also baby can't pull up over their head as they can with blankets.

Mind you mine was free with car seat. I am always more enthusiastic about things I haven't paid for :o

I'm thinking about this as I'll use the car seat on the double pushchair and its annoying when you go into shops etc and have to keep unwrapping/undressing 50 layers off the baby!

Morck hoody. Much better!

I used to have one. It was great for using between the car and house/shops and I just folded down the front when in the car. Worth having imo and much better than blankets which always seemed to fall/blow off.

loved ours, especially when using car seat on the buggy. Saying that I got ours second hand and really don't think I'd consider paying the £30-40 I think they are new. They wash up brilliantly and definitely aren't something that look 'worn' second hand.

I have a wallaboo one for mine. It is miles easier than blankets and coats

I went to ics Milton Keynes for a refit on my ERF car seat and they had 3 cabriofix foot muffs at 20 pounds brand new. Im guessing they are last years colours. Got an ocean blue one for myself!! Love it already. Maybe try them :)

I have one of these and really like it, as never have to worry about dressing DD up in outdoor clothes for quick trip to the vet/supermarket etc, like others say it can just be unzipped indoors. Bit pricey for what it was imho but it does fit nicely and look neat.

Thanks for the replies! I got one for a great price (£15) and love it ...and so does my LO!
