Carseat for 2 yo escape artist son.

Any advice? My 2yo (dc4!) is currently using a carseat which has an integral 5 point harness, but he is an escape artist, and first thing he does on being put in his car seat is to wriggle his hands free, and out of the straps.

He has also snapped the foam, and pulled most of the fluff out of the back of the seat. None of my other kids have done this!!!

So, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a carseat that will prevent this - he can't be safe when he's not strapped in properly, but no matter how tightly I adjust the straps, he gets out of them!

You need one of these. It goes round his back and wraps over the straps to stop them being able to wiggle their hands under.

I also had an escape artist and this stopped him.

Are the shoulder straps set at the right height? If they are too low then they are very easy to wriggle out of.

this one only thing my escape artist cant get out of (plus she cant pull her shoes and socks off everytime we get in the car.

Yes, shoulder straps etc all set correctly, he is just very wriggly! He has been able to get completely out of a sleeping bag since he was 4 months old, and can get out of his pushchair completely too!
