Hi all.

I've got dc3 due in December. The only way I can fit all of them in the car is to have dc1 on a ' bubble bum' in the middle of the back seat or in a high back booster on the front seat with an airbag.
The air bag can't be turned off/ disconnected at all.

He will still be in a harnessed seat, he's a small child.

I would try a Britax Prince in the middle, for the three year old, Britax Adventure for the five year old and then see which baby seat fits. I have these and a Britax first class.
My seats are shaped too, but I find that strapping a seat in tightly in the middle flattens out the hump a bit.

The babysafe is good because its widest point is quite a long way forward. I'm just gonna go to the car with a tape measure and see if the bit that meets the seat back is anywhere near 36cm...

Ihateparties · 15/06/2012 21:48

It is 36cm exactly (then 44cm where the handle is, which is further forward than the wing bits of the boosters I have next to mine). So basically in our car it is taking up 36cm of the seat back width. Not sure where that would leave you re fastening the belts if you placed the baby seat in the middle but it may be possible. I leave mine permanently fastened and slip the baby in (increasingly awkward!) but it is at the drivers side in our car.

Thanks so much for that Smile I'm going to try out a few combinations over the weekend so I will report back.

We have 3 dc and a honda accord, and have had to go for one of them in the front with the high back booster, then a baby seat and a booster in the back on either side, n i have to sit in the middle. we were not able to fit all 3 of them in a row in the back

We only have a Corolla and had 3 seats in ours for awhile. The width of these seats is 44 cm each... parents of multiples like them as they are narrow. They aren't officially for sale in the UK though which is too bad, I bet you can still get them online though.

wowser, that radian seat is impressive! Although why anyone would want 4 cup holders on one car seat is beyond me.

Hmmm... drink, sweets, savoury snacks and phone/ipod? Grin

snala · 16/06/2012 09:31

Firawala can you switch the airbag off on your accord? Smile

I'm not sure. We have a fwd facing seat in the front not a baby rearfacing seat so I thought those are okay with the airbags still on? but tbh dh deals with all that kind of thing so I don't know. I still haven't passed my test yet!
