Thinking about buying this carseat as DD is outgrowing her infant carrier and we want to replace our car in the next 6 months so will purchase an ERF seat then. Don't want to buy an expensive ERF seat and find it doesn't fit new car! So this seat seems like a good stop-gap until then. DD is nearly 12mts and is 10.5 kg. How old are/were your LO's when they were too heavy to rear face in this seat?

DD3 still hasn't quite reached the limits (is 12.9kg!) and she is 2y 7m. We use it ffing though as it doesn't install well in MIL's car rfing (wobbles about all over the place) but is rock solid ffing (only goes in MIL's car once or twice a year). She rides rfing in DH's car though Grin My other two were between 2-2 1/2y when they hit 13kg.

Thanks truthsweet-I've looked on centile charts and if DD follows the line as she has from birth she would be 2.2 yrs. I thought perhaps I was looking at it wrong but your DD's details seem to back this up! I will have to go and try one in my car, and soon! Thanks for your help.

I have a britax first class from DS. It doesnt fit very well rearfacing in alot of cars as needs a lot of belt to install. I would get the TWE as it needs less seat belt and will last longer.

The TWE doesn't look to be very padded or offer much in the way of protection for side impact when I've googled images of it. Is this the case IRL? I've looked at the measurements of all the extended rear facing seats and it looks like nothing will fit my current car when I measured. The problem being it's a 3 door and apparently not very spacious in the rear! Are all ERF seats huge?!

my DD is 2yr 9m and weighs about 10.5kg she's still happily RF in a first class plus although she does sometimes moan about her legs being squashed (she has a besafe in my car so is used to being able to hang her legs down whilst RF as the besafe stands well away from the back seat because of the isofix and bracing)
