Britax kidfix SICT OR MaxiCosi Ferofix?

I've read a bit about SICT and almost decided......but then wondered if Which have tested the Ferofix yet - does anyone know?

Most of the reviews I have read have been from people using the Ferofix on trial (i.e they're free). Of course, I'd expect a unbiased view but a tiny bit of me remains slightly cynical.

They're hugely expensive so I don't want to make a mistake!

I bought the Ferofix for DS and am really happy with it. I read some good reviews and I am pretty certain that I read a Which review too - I seem to remember that it and the SICT had the same score (and were highest ranked) so I must have read a Which review but I can't get it now (you have to pay £1 for a trial subscription so I think I did that)

I actually think the reviews that people have done on trial are very helpful. They go into a lot of detail and had the seat for a while. The reviews are pretty comprehensive which suggests that they have covered most areas and are happy with them. I think this is much more useful when allied with a Which safety review as independent back up, than somebody saying what they think based on the photo (sorry loopymumsy - this isn't meant to be a dig at you - I too thought the SICT looked bulkier and therefore safer, but reading around and looking at Which meant I actually ended up trusting people who have used the Ferofix rather than just what it looked like to me IYSWIM)

When all said and done, I don't think you can go wrong with either Britax or Maxi-Cosi - to me they consistently seem to be the best, safest car seats whenever you read reviews, whatever their product. It really was a toss up for us but I plumped for Ferofix and have been very happy as is DS.

Thanks for the replies.

I have done the Which subscription for £1 b4 when I needed info about the Group 1 seats and ended up paying monthly for ages - ooops!

I had a feeling it would be like flipping a coin and choosing between the two best seats but as the fero-fix was so new I couldn't be sure that there wasn't one big design issue that no one had picked up on yet.
The SICT are way bulkier which may cause us problems with an occasional 3rd child inbetween the seats but I didn't want to compromise my own children's safety if they were alot safer than the fero-fix IYSWIM.
