Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix Seat & EasyFix Base - Wobbling?

We've just bought the above combo for our first baby (due in a few weeks). The fitter at the shop managed to get the base fixed into our car, and attached the seat. All the indicators are on green, the base seems solid, but the seat feels wobbly. There is a fair bit of movement in it, although it does seem securely attached to both metal rods. Is this normal?

The fitter has suggested we come back in tomorrow when there will be a senior fitter available to double check the fitting, but she didn't seem too happy about the level of movement either. I got the impression she doesn't do many of these fittings though.

Anyone had this with their seats? I just expected it to feel more solid when attached Hmm.

Did you put any weight in it ? It might be more stable once a baby (or try with equivalent such as bag of flour) is in it.

Haven't tried that, will give it a go tomorrow, see if it makes a difference. Thanks :)

just to update - went back and saw the senior fitter person, and it turned out that the fitter who did the base hadn't pushed it back far enough on the Isofix bars. With that done, the seat feels a lot more stable as it is actually up against the back seat now.
