Best option for 8 d day trip?

Hi not sure what travel booster you are thinking off. But I have found this one might be better. I have 2 dd ages 10 and 6 would ideally only use just a booster in a emergency. If you don't want to put your yonger one in a hhb I would get this one it is £20 more than the cheap 123 ones but well worth the money. My friend has the really cheap ones for her dc and they don't look like they would offer much protection. The belt doesn't sit in as good as place as the britax ones. Have a good trip

Will you not be using your own car seats on the plane? If your car seats are FAA approved they can be used in the plane seats and then carried off the flight and installed in a UK (you are on holiday here not resident so you can use your seats legally). It's safer for children to ride in their car seat (providing they are FAA approved) than in just a lap belt on an aeroplane as well even if it is just turbulence not an actual crash.

I'd look into whether the airline will take your seats either on the flight or in the hold (you can get special carry bags to put car seats in) and then use your Canadian seats here in the UK for the duration of your holiday.

I've looked into travelling with our seats. Unfortunately, my concern is that they are big and heavy, and that's fine if we know they'll fit, but if we lug them through all that travel (possibly at their peril - if we have to check them - although I've used the boulevard before on a domestic flight) then they won't fit in the car I'll be furious (and still have to obtain other seats which will also have to be lugged). I am not sure of the limits with isofix, but for our 5 yo's seat, here the LATCH limit is 40 lb, so I have to do a seatbelt install with a ridiculously long belt path - my understanding is that the seatbelts do not tend to be as long there either - so I don't want to chance that. It would be possible to bring the 3 yo's seat - if I knew it would fit in mum's Corsa...it is airline approved on Canadian flights and we are flying Air Canada.

Oh, those two Britax seats - I was looking at, but on the Britax fit finder they didn't come up when I put my mum's car in...so I'm not sure if they don't fit for certain or if they haven't tried them...does anyone know?

Maybe she could go to her local Halfords/Mothercare and check the fitting before you buy? There not all reliable but she can get an idea :) I've also found the Graco Nautilus to be very good, did really well in the crash tests too, just not as comfy as the Evolva
