Need a new car seat

GPs are going to be dropping DS off at the childminder's and so we need a second car seat. I'm going to give them our cabriofix (DS is 12 months and is still fine in it at 10kgs) and think we'll get the next stage (group 1?) rear facing seat.

We are within a commutable distance to the Car Safety Centre at MK, is it worth going?

Can anyone recommend any seats? We have a VW caddy maxi life with bags of room and isofix.

Thanks!

Can't comment on what would fit your particular car, but if you can easily go to MK In Car Safety t is definitely worth the trip. Excellent service and they will try lots of seats to find the best fitting one for the car.

i would go if you are close enough, they have loads of rf seats and are apparently really helpful. i have a britax two way elite and a britax hi-way 2. both are great but think i prefer the twe. not sure why though?! isofix is no safer than belted rf as long as the seat is installed properly.
