I've got a lo nearly nine months and she is about ready for the next seat up from the infant carrier what do I go for?! dh has the recaro young expert plus for his car as he liked that one best, it will barely be used but hey ho that's another story ;0) she will be in the backseat. Any recommendations ?!

DS's Britax Two Way Elite fits in well, he is still rear facing but has a lot of room in our Golf. DD used her Evolva 123 in there, before that she has a Britax First Class si that fitted well.
Have you thought about extended rear facing. MY DS is 28 months old now and is very happy rear-facing; it's also a lot lot safer, in fact, 5 times safer, than forward facing at that age.

hi, i had my two way elite and KISS in the back of a golf. the britax hi-way fits as well. i would look at rf seats too. the KISS goes to 18kgs and is isofix and the twe and hi-way are belted and go to 25kgs.

:)

i'd look at extended rear-facing seats too.
can vouch for the britax 2 way elite being a great seat

Kiss?!? Where can I find rf chairs in stores though...they aren't even available at John Lewis?!?! I wouldn't bother with the isofix bases as we ordered one for the recaro seat but when you use it it raised the seat and brought it closer to the seat in front restricting access very irritating! Also worried about getting a seat that I won't be able to return because I've opened it! Thanks for your replies I will check them out...
