Renolux?

Hi, my DS is nearly ready to move out of his 1st car seat and into the next one (from 9kg). The one I've seen which looks ideal is the Renolux Next Confort but I've never heard of Renolux and their are no reviews here for it that I can find.

Does anyone have any experience of Renolux or should I stick to Maxi-cosi or Britax, etc?

I second onetwothreefourfive completely, only outgrown infant carrier at max weight and top of head at top of seat. The 9kg is the minumum and you only then put a child in the next group up when they have outgrown the seat by height before they've reached the max weight. Please take a look at extended rear facing before you make your decision :) info on extended rear facing
As for the Renolux, umm... their french. I have no idea about how well they did in the crash tests to be honest as their mostly sold in france, I have come across them 'in the flesh' and haven't really been that impressed with them. The side impact was very shallow and the fitting was quite complicated (even for a trained fitter)

I've just watched the fitting video for that seat - avoid.

Thanks for the info, did a bit more digging after I posted and decided it wasn't ideal. Don't plan t move him up until his current car seat is too small but just aware we're approaching and starting to research. Not sure on keeping him rear facing till 4. I realise its safest and that should be paramount so will think a bit more.

We have a Renolux stage 1-3 seat and it is not great (luckily it is only a spare!). DD1 outgrew the high back booster at 5 heightwise (very low back) and there is no way I am putting a 5y in a booster cushion so it's been relegated to DD2's spare seat.

I echo the PPs about extended rear facing - it's great and they have a really good view out of the back and side of the car - much more than I found they had when FFing (DD1 & DD2 went FFing at around 4).
